    •                   Welcome to the Alpha Chapter

    of Alpha Gamma Rho Website!

Alpha Chapter is located at the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign.  Our house is in Champaign Illinois on the corner of First Street and Gregory Drive. The fraternity was founded in 1906 and has been serving students interested in agriculture ever since.  Today we are stronger than ever with 75 current members and hundreds of alumni who have graduated and are in the work force.  Many of our members are in the College of ACES (Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences).  However, we have others in the College of Business and some in the College of Engineering as well.  Membership is not restricted to any one branch of the University.

Alpha Gamma Rho is both a professional and a social fraternity.  Members are encouraged to excel in both the classroom and in making professional future career connections.  We also emphasize building friendships amongst ourselves and others on campus and for this reason, we hold several social and philanthropic events throughout the year.  To quote our national organization's Purpose, the true goal of Alpha Gamma Rho is to make "a broader and better agriculture" and to provide our members with the best "social, mental, and moral development."
